Robotics / Engineering 4th-8th Elective Teacher

Summary of Position:

This is a .5 teaching position with two days of student time and one day every other week of prep/collaboration time.

At-will elective teacher. At-will agreement constitutes 93 work-days (.5 Position). Elective Teacher works with Creekside Charter Management’s Executive Director and staff in achieving the goals and meeting the requirements of the Creekside Charter School’s charter for purposes of assisting CCM in implementing its purposes, policies and procedures pursuant to the guidelines outlined in the CCM Staff Handbook.

This position does not provide medical benefits.

Classroom Instruction Responsibilities:

1.  Design and implement a robotics/ engineering “special/elective” course for students.

  • Determine appropriate engineering/robotics curriculum

  • Order appropriate materials in conjunction with our office manager

  • Create grading structure for course

  • Differentiate for varying ability levels

  • Teach five sections of the course varying for grade ability level

2.  Course will be taught in grades 4-8 twice per week for a total of 10 sections per week. Employee will work two days per week plus every other Friday, will be considered a prep day on campus to support the course and connect with faculty.

3.  Support potential robotic competition on campus or at the regional level

Registrar / Office Coordinator

The full-time Registrar/Office Support person will be responsible for:

  • Support general school operating logistics under the direction of the Executive Director 

  • General Executive Director Support 

  • Oversee the registration and file management for all students

    • Working within PowerSchool and Schoology to ensure that all students are inputted correctly and registered, school-wide form management, etc.

  • Support all physical systems in the school

    • Phone, alarm, copiers, AED, etc.

  • Manage technology needs in conjunction with Executive Director 

    • managing chromebook inventory and google accounts, managing student information systems (Powerschool, Schoology, Parentsquare, etc.) updating documents to website, etc.

  • General facilities management

    • scheduling contractors for maintenance needs at the direction of the Executive Director, etc.

  • Marketing design and management

    • social media management, website and brochure development

  • Other office support needs

    • supplies ordering, drinking water ordering, mail, office organization, volunteer management, etc.

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 based on experience

Contract:  210 Day  (11 months + school breaks), starting August 1, 2023
